I ordered 6 of the chairs. 2 of them will need to be modified as the legs were not adjustable at all. I'm a very competent DIYer and I still couldn't drill out the brackets enough to make them sit flat. As far as the "espresso" stained legs go, they're really just spray painted black. The cushions are comfortable enough. Do yourself a favor and go right to the hardware store and get the appropriate size metric HEX HEAD bolts and save yourself from having to use the stupid allen wrench bolts that are sent. Just make sure not to over tighten them. I'm not saying don't buy them, I'm saying keep your expectations appropriately inline with what you're spending.
