We purchased this bar to fit in our one bedroom condo in the "dining" space by the eat at bar. Fits perfectly and the color is an espresso color - similar to the Ikea black-brown if anyone is looking to compare. The company had fast shipping, all the parts were there and it took about 2 hours to put the whole thing together - it went much faster once hubby got home and could help - it would have taken longer had he not been able to do so. The wood is substantial and heavy, so once its put together its a two person move type unit.
